Automobiles in Germany's Town Discovered Smeared with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Police reported they were alerted by a resident who noticed a automobile in Hanau marked with red-colored substance

Approximately fifty automobiles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the German municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Automobiles, exterior walls and mailboxes were vandalized, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement say they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a resident discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued liquid.

The liquid had been applied in the shape of a swastika, they stated.

Law enforcement then located many other smeared automobiles and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under laws banning the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Police report initial examinations indicate the fluid was probably blood from a person.

"Currently there is no lead as to its origin; authorities are presently not informed of any injuries in relation with the event," they commented.

City officials stated they were trying "to solve the incident" and have appealed to the public for tips.

A senior political figure commented the incident rendered him without words and required to be solved promptly.

"This act hits the center of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the right-wing terrorist attack in 2020," he wrote on social media, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a gunman focusing on individuals of migrant background in five years prior.
